The Sri Petaling and Ampang LRT lines will be suspended tomorrow from 6am to make way for full migration of its signalling system. Both lines were previously suspended on July 7 and 8 for this reason. Prasarana Malaysia Bhd said in a statement that it would provide free shuttle bus services for commuters during this period.Seventy shuttle buses would be provided with 16 zones of routes from the LRT stations of Bandar Puteri, Kinrara BK5, Sri Petaling, Sungai Besi, Bandar Tun Razak, Cempaka, Pandan Indah, Maluri, Chan Sow Lin, Pudu, Hang Tuah, Sentul Timur, PWTC, Bandaraya, Puchong Prima and Putra Heights. The Kelana Jaya LRT Line and the Monorail Line will operate as normal to provide public transport convenience for the city commuters, the statement said. With the full migration of the signalling system, Prasarana said the new six-car trains can travel directly between Sentul Timur and Putra Heights, which will be officially renamed as the LRT Petaling Line on Saturday.“There will be no need to switch trains any more at Sri Petaling station or at Chan Sow Lin station – only if you need to go to any of eight stations between Chan Sow Lin and Ampang,” Rapid KL spokesman Lim Jin Aun said.
